Ms. Martz has dedicated cardiology
experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2003. She graduated
with Honors from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with
a Bachelor of Science as well as a Masters of Science in Nursing.
Ms. Martz is a charter member of the University of Tennessee
at Chattanooga Nursing Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau.
Ms. Martz went on to achieve a subspecialty certification in cardiac
medicine after successfully completing the nationally recognized
exam. Ms Martz participates in Cardiovascular Educational Conferences
as well as the monthly meetings of the Chattanooga Area Nurses
in Advanced Practice.
The role of the Nurse Practitioner in the clinical setting is to
advance patient care in collaboration with the supervising physician
and other medical staff by providing continuity of care, patient
teaching and protocol-driven medical management of cardiac and
vascular patients.
