Dr. Verma holds the unique distinction of board certification in three areas of cardiology. Trained by pioneers in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, pacemakers and defibrillators, Dr. Verma introduced cardioverter-defibrillators to northwest Georgia in 2001.


Dr. Verma completed his medical training at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, a Cornell University affiliate, and his Cardiology training at State University of New York at Stoneybrook. He received additional training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Verma is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology. His areas of expertise include cardiac catheterization, electrophysiologic studies, ablative procedures to correct arrhythmias, and the insertion of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators. Dr. Verma is the author of numerous scientific publications and abstracts.
